CONGRUENCE CHECKPOINT

Welcome, Commander.

Congruence — the alignment of your thoughts, feelings, and actions with your core values — is the engine of personal integrity. Incongruence creates dissonance, signaling that something is wrong. Todd learned this truth when he felt a tightening in his chest — the clear sign that his actions did not align with his values. Use this assessment to analyze a single moment of conflict and discover where your integrity system may have broken down.

Purpose

To assess your alignment (congruence) across your thoughts, feelings, and actions during a situation that challenged your core beliefs.

Instructions

Reflect on a specific situation that caused inner conflict. Describe the scene fully — then, for each question below, choose the option that best fits what actually happened.

DESCRIBE THE SITUATION

Think of a specific moment of conflict. Include:

  • Who was present?
  • What happened that created the inner conflict?
  • When and where did it occur?
  • Why does this particular moment stand out to you?

THE ASSESSMENT

For each dimension, choose the option that most accurately describes what happened — not what you wish had happened.

1. My Thoughts — When I reflected on my thoughts in the moment, they were:

2. My Feelings — Emotionally, I felt:

3. My Actions — What I did was:

4. My Body's Signal — Physically, I noticed:

5. My Intent — Thinking back to my ultimate goal in that moment, my intent was:

6. My Core Value Compass — Looking back, did I act from my guiding values (honesty, respect, compassion, courage)?

FINAL ACTION ORDER

Your body provided a clear signal, and your score shows where the incongruence emerged. Now trace it back to its source.
